Macsween Haggis

macsween-header

Macsween haggis is the ultimate convenience foods. While both dishes are very easy to serve, their preparation does seem to mystify some. Leaving aside the mystique that surrounds haggis, the main thing to remember is that Macsween products have already undergone a cooking stage, and only need to be thoroughly heated before eating.

Traditional Haggis

A Macsween traditional haggis consists of lamb, beef, oatmeal and onions, plus our special blend of spices and seasoning. These are all cooked together in a natural casing to produce our version of Scotland's national dish. Beyond the iconic presentation of haggis at Burns Suppers, this wonderfully versatile dish is eaten throughout the year, making regular appearances on the menus of cafes, bistros and restaurants across the UK. Dishes include canapes, spicy pakoras and even haggis lasagne!

The Macsween family has been making authentic, award-winning haggis in Edinburgh for over 50 years. Originally consumed locally, Macsween haggis is now known and enjoyed throughout the world. Macsween are proud to have created the first commercially available vegetarian haggis.
